took an early morning walk along one of our brooks early this morning using a walking stick and treading carefully since we still have quite a bit of snow and icy crust a very cold morning with brilliant blue skies brooks were really roaring filled with the 5 plus inches of rain sleet and snow we received over the weekend managed to snap 200 plus pics of the gorgeous clear water and many ice formations Winter is not retreating with any urgency

Out of the deep Lagoon Nothing artsy here just news photos I got up early because the before sunrise clouds looked so nice and headed for my favorite sunrise place a deep marsh that borders an isolated road on both sides Spring flooding covers all but the very crown of the road The road is posted closed but still was being used on a regular basis a sensible driver didn t have any problem crossing the flooded patch but a dummy came along too fast last night and ended up in the marsh A crew was in the process of recovering the car when I came along Obviously the local police will now have to enforce the road closure another case of a dummy spoiling things for everybody
